FOH Team Member

Eastern Peak is seeking enthusiastic, customer-focused individual to join our front-of-house team. Each role contributes to creating a seamless, efficient service experience and a welcoming environment for our guests. The front of house team consists of host, expo, server, and bartender roles.
Essential Job Functions:
- Guest Interaction and Order Taking: Greet guests warmly, manage guest seating, and assist them throughout their dining experience. Hosts manage guest seating, offer wait times, and handle. Servers and Bartenders take food and beverage orders, provide recommendations, and accommodate dietary preferences.
- Menu Knowledge and Recommendations: Maintain a detailed understanding of the menu, including ingredients and specials. Provide recommendations and answer guest questions. Collaborate with kitchen staff to address special requests, ensuring consistent guest satisfaction across all FOH roles.
- Beverage and Food Service: Bartenders prepare and serve beverages per recipes and standards, adhering to responsible alcohol service. Expos coordinate timely food delivery, while Servers ensure prompt delivery and order accuracy. All FOH roles monitor tables for additional guest needs, ensuring quality food and drink presentation.
- Quality Assurance and Timing: Expos check dishes for presentation and quality, coordinating with kitchen staff to address issues. All FOH roles manage service timing for an optimal guest experience and work collaboratively with the team.
- Customer Service and Communication: Engage with guests professionally, addressing concerns promptly. Communicate between guests, servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service flow. Hosts manage the waiting area, keeping it organized and welcoming.
- Cash Handling and Payment Processing: Process payments, manage cash, and ensure accurate transaction records across FOH roles. Servers, Bartenders, and Hosts accurately handle guest payments, manage tips, and issue receipts using the Toast POS.
- Bar and Dining Area Maintenance: Bartenders keep the bar area clean and organized. All FOH members clear and reset tables promptly, maintaining cleanliness, stocking supplies, and keeping dining and wait areas visually appealing.
- Compliance and Safety: All FOH staff understand and follow all regulations related to food, alcohol, and sanitation, ensuring a safe environment. Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation practices, including proper food handling. Bartenders and Servers are required to have TABC certification.
- Team Collaboration: Foster positive relationships within the FOH and kitchen teams. Communicate customer feedback and assist team members to maintain an efficient workflow and exceptional service.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Prior Food Runner and/or Expediter (Expo)experience is a plus
- Previous Host/Hostess experience is a plus
- Previous SERVER experience in a high-volume full service dine-in preferred for those wanting to start out serving
- Detail-oriented with accuracy in order-taking and cash handling.
- Positive and Friendly demeanor
- Experience with TOAST POS is a plus
- Willingness to work a consistent schedule each week and including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to carry heavy loads, like trays of dishes, and standing for extended periods

Pay: $15.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
