Key Responsibilities
- Must maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area.
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, operating procedures, and process instructions
- Wear required PPE.
- Coordinate and maintain regular communication with the team, and supervisor, relaying any necessary changes to set up and equipment programming for safe and efficient operation
- Removes cut pieces from sheet and examines for defects associated with laser cutting including edge quality and surface nonconformities including scratches.
- Is able to determine if material supplied meets production requirements.
- Is required to read blueprints to review characteristics that need to be monitored. If assistance is required, then the operator is to get help.
- Monitors the calibration of the equipment they use within their department.
- Has the ability to check parts utilizing calipers, micrometers and height gages.
- Is able to measure parts effectively to guarantee conformity to print specifications.
- Is able to perform basic maintenance on the laser including nozzle changes and the nozzle centering operation routine cleaning per PM schedule.
- Required to properly fill out the tags associated with production to identify material used and parts.
- Employees are also expected to meet or exceed efficiency goals set forth by the company.
- Employee is responsible for complete customer satisfaction of their own work. The goal is to reduce variability to achieve zero defects for our products and services while improving cycle times.
- Confirm order requirements are met
- Assist the company with ‘Continuous Improvement’ ideas.
Qualifications
Lift up to 50 pounds.
Stand and walk, as well as push, pull, squat, bend and reach frequently during shifts.
Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.
Candidates must be 18 years old or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
Able to communicate well in English
Work in a fast paced environment
Able to do overtime, when required
