Busy dental office in downtown Wilkes-Barre is seeking a motivated and experienced Dental Hygienist to join our team. We are looking for someone professional, dependable, and patient-focused who works well in a fast-paced environment and is committed to providing excellent patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental cleanings and periodontal maintenance
- Conduct oral health assessments and document findings
- Take dental x-rays
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventative care
- Assist the dentist in diagnosing and treatment planning
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Follow OSHA and HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols
- Provide a positive and comfortable experience for patients
Requirements:
- Current Pennsylvania Dental Hygienist license
- CPR certification
- Proficiency in dental x-rays and digital charting
- Familiarity with Dentrix and OneView preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Must possess current required clearances, including:
- FBI Fingerprinting
- Child Abuse Clearance
- Background Check
Position Details:
- 3-day work week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Part-Time and Full-Time available
- PTO available
- Wages and benefits are negotiable based on experience and qualifications
