Overview
The Bell/Valet Attendant is responsible for creating a welcoming and efficient arrival and departure experience for guests. This dual-role position includes handling luggage, assisting with guest inquiries, and parking/retrieving vehicles safely and promptly. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent customer service, professionalism, and attentiveness.
Duties
Bell Attendant Duties:
- Greet guests upon arrival and departure with a warm, friendly demeanor.
- Assist guests with luggage to and from rooms or vehicles.
- Provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and transportation options.
- Deliver packages, amenities, and messages to guest rooms.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bell stand and lobby area.
- Coordinate with front desk for guest requests and transportation needs.
Valet Attendant Duties:
- Greet arriving guests and safely park their vehicles in designated areas.
- Retrieve guest vehicles promptly upon request.
- Record vehicle information accurately (e.g., make, model, license plate).
- Inspect vehicles for damage prior to parking and report any issues.
- Maintain key security and follow safety protocols.
- Assist with traffic flow and curbside management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles.
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is a plus.
- Friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to lift luggage up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
- Previous experience in hospitality or guest services is preferred.
- Strong communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Familiarity with phone systems and front desk operations is advantageous.
- Ability to provide excellent guest relations and maintain professionalism at all times.
- Must be able to lift heavy luggage and stand for extended periods.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
