American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a DC RN license, at least 2 years of L&D experience, and NRP certification for a night shift contract.

9-week contract with 36 hours per week

Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts per week

On-call requirement of one shift per week

Labor & Delivery unit serving females of childbearing age, including patients at 17+ weeks gestation, laboring patients, scheduled procedures (C-sections, external cephalic versions), and triage cases

Unit activity includes admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and vaginal and cesarean deliveries
-
Common equipment includes fetal monitors

Cerner and Fetalink used for documentation

Active DC RN license required — no pending licenses accepted

Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (AHA only), NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring

Minimum 2 years of L&D experience in a US hospital required

LDRP experience and labor with postpartum (PP) experience preferred

US Social Security Number required

Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted

CPI certification is mandated for this position
