Maple River Schools, ISD 2135 is seeking a full time Childcare Classroom Lead to work within our Childcare Center under the direction of the Community Education Department.
The Child Care Classroom Lead will be a Maple River School District employee and will report to the Community Education Director.
The Classroom Lead will be the staff ensuring that the room environment is warm, inviting, calm and nurturing for the children in our care. As well as committing to the philosophies, policies, procedures and curriculum in place for successful operation.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop and implement program activities and play using the Creative Curriculum while allowing flexibility in plans to meet all different needs/abilities.
- Ensure the safety and health of children by following all policies and procedures.
- Support other staff in being accountable for following all policies, procedures and that duties are being completed.
- Interact with staff, families and community respectfully and professionally.
- Complete daily records and observations.
- Ensure the children are supervised at all times.
- Collaborate with director.
- Work with all other staff as a team to share responsibilities.
- Help to maintain cleanliness in the center by performing cleaning duties.
- Other duties will include feeding/supporting skill of self-feeding, supervising outdoor play, perform diapering and assisting with toileting.
- Attend trainings and staff meetings.
Qualifications
- 2 year degree in early childhood education or 4 year degree in any field and equivalent workforce experience in a licensed child care center or elementary school.
- Ability to build relationships.
- Strong organization and planning skills.
- Warm, friendly and calm demeanor.
- Be punctual and dependable with attendance.
- Have physical capacity to work with infants-Kindergarten aged children.
- Willingness to undergo mandatory background study/check.
Salary Details
Hours of Availability: 6:30am-5:00pm Monday-Friday, 12 month role
Salary: $19.07 per hour
