Do you love building relationships and being out in the community rather than stuck behind a desk? The Lodi District Chamber of Commerce is looking for an outgoing, organized relationship-builder to own the full member experience, from first hello to renewal, while also serving as our lead connector between local businesses and the City of Lodi.
This is a role built for someone who thrives on face-to-face connection. You'll spend the majority of your time in the field, meeting business owners, welcoming new members, and representing the Chamber at events and visits across Lodi. Administrative work is kept to a minimum by design so you can focus on what you do best: building trust and growing relationships.
What You'll Do
- Be the friendly face of the Chamber to current and prospective member businesses, promoting the value of membership and helping grow our community.
- Guide new members through a warm welcome and onboarding experience, then stay connected through regular, meaningful check-ins.
- Own the renewal process from start to finish, helping keep our membership strong and engaged year after year.
- Sell event sponsorships and advertising packages, helping local businesses connect with the community.
- Represent the Chamber in the field for our Business Retention & Expansion partnership with the City of Lodi and Lodi Electric Utility, conducting business visits and gathering insights that help our local economy grow.
- Keep clear, organized records of every conversation and touchpoint so no member relationship falls through the cracks.
- Partner with our Ambassador volunteers to extend the Chamber's reach across the community.
What We're Looking For
- Previous sales or relationship-based experience.
- A natural communicator who is comfortable talking with everyone from small business owners to executives.
- Someone who builds trust quickly, follows through reliably, and keeps information confidential.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and CRM or database tools.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for frequent local travel.
- A four-year degree or equivalent experience is preferred, along with prior Chamber, association, sales, or economic development experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting hourly rate: $28.50/hour, non-exempt (overtime eligible).
- Medical benefits included.
- Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, with occasional early morning, evening, or weekend hours for Chamber events.
Work Environment
This role is split between our office at 35 S. School Street and the field, meeting members at their businesses, at ribbon cuttings, mixers, and community events across Lodi. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds may be required for event setup.
Why Join the Lodi District Chamber of Commerce
