Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of groomers, pet care specialists, and customer service associates to deliver outstanding service.
- Oversee grooming appointments, ensuring quality work and timely completion while maintaining safety standards.
- Manage inventory levels for retail store as well as grooming supplies, pet products, and animal care equipment to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Provide expert guidance on pet grooming techniques, animal handling, and restraint to team members.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, scheduling appointments, and resolving concerns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to animal handling, grooming procedures, and store cleanliness.
- Support pet owners with advice on pet care, grooming routines, and behavioral tips based on veterinary insights or experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience in pet grooming, animal handling, or related veterinary support roles such as veterinary technician or assistant.
- Strong knowledge of dog training, pet grooming techniques, animal restraint methods, and general animal care practices.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively in a retail or grooming environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during grooming sessions or store duties.
- Familiarity with veterinary practices or veterinary experience is highly desirable.
- Additional skills such as kennel work, or pet sitting are considered valuable assets.
