Overview
Leading pharmaceutical company looking for an experienced Scientist II. Ideal candidates should have a Master’s Degree with 4+ years of experience or Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience with HPLC, plate assays, particle analysis, and related laboratory techniques.
Responsibilities
- Execute lab work at a high level for new therapeutic modalities (e.g., peptides, oligonucleotides, virus, antibodies, non-viral delivery systems, etc.).
- Lead in implementing experimental studies to build product and process knowledge.
- Initiate and complete routine laboratory procedures independently and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot equipment and experiments effectively; solve scientific problems independently.
- Operate lab equipment and handle maintenance responsibilities.
- Design and execute non-routine experiments with minimal supervision.
- Contribute to lab organization, reagent tracking, and other tasks as appropriate.
- Present scientific findings in project team or department meetings.
- Participate actively in cross-functional teams and initiatives.
- Write protocols, SOPs, technical reports, and other technical documents independently.
- Apply basic scientific principles and technology; perform literature searches to stay current.
- Collect, treat, and report data with high integrity and ethics.
- Communicate work effectively both orally and in writing.
- Develop protocols, procedures, and technical documents; provide input on scientific reports.
- Understand relevant regulations, client policies, and safety practices to ensure compliant and safe work practices.
- Experience with wet chemistry preparation methods, buffers, mobile phases, and multi-component formulation preparation.
Plan and conduct experiments, evaluate and interpret technical data.

Requirements
- Master’s Degree with 4+ years of related experience or Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of related experience.
- Experience in HPLC, plate assays, particle analysis, and related laboratory techniques.
- Strong ability to plan, evaluate, interpret, and report technical data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with wet chemistry methods, chromatography, spectroscopy, and biophysical testing is highly desirable.
- Ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment and experiments.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and good laboratory practices.
