Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Analyst specializing in Labor Compliance to join our team for gap analysis, oversight of software implementation, strategic plan development.
This is a part-time position. Hybrid - remote and in-person in NYC.
Duties
- Prepare, review, and update functional and non-functional requirements, specifications, business
- processes, and solution recommendations for the database;
- Gather and analyze information from various system users and stakeholders to identify requirements and reconcile conflicts
- Collaborate with senior analysts, business units, and subject matter experts to define, test, and implement requirements for the database;
- Identify database system deficiencies and assess current system to align with the legal requirements and the business needs;
- Participate in meetings with technology and business teams to clarify and implement
- requirements, including working with the vendor developing the database;
- Create and maintain analysis deliverables (process maps, requirements, business rules, user stories, workflows, use cases, acceptance criteria);
- Provide training and resources to relevant stakeholders
- Understand the agency structure, business issues, and data challenges; contribute to rollout strategies
- Serve as liaison among business units, technology teams, and support teams;
- Communicate clearly and effectively to identify needs, evaluate solutions, and strengthen business partner relationships
- Work with developers and SMEs to define technical vision and evaluate usability/performance tradeoffs
- Develop understanding of application programming, databases, system design, technical specifications, and system architecture;
- Track and prepare monitoring reports on system performance and outstanding issues with recommendations; and
- Ensure system and processes comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on labor compliance or workforce analytics in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of eComply, Quickbooks, etc.
Pay: $55.00 - $70.00 per hour
