As we continue to grow, we are actively hiring for a Hybrid Intake Clinician based out of our Center Line office, with the potential to also work out of our Clinton Township office.
Position Details
This position offers a blend of in-person and remote work, with the opportunity to work from home up to two days per week, based on business and program needs. The primary office location will be Center Line, with the potential to split time between the Center Line and Clinton Township offices.

Qualifications
- Possess a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
- Preferred: Current Michigan licensure as an LMSW, LLP, or LPC.
- Highly qualified LLMSW candidates who are nearing independent licensure may also be considered. Please note that LLMSW candidates fall within a different pay grade.
- Must meet qualifications of a Mental Health Professional (MHP) per Michigan PIHP/CMHSP Provider Qualification requirements for Medicaid Services.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Experience conducting biopsychosocial assessments is strongly preferred.
- Experience diagnosing mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders is strongly preferred.
- CAADC (Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor) certification is preferred.
- Candidates without a CAADC who are interested in obtaining certification may be considered if they are willing to commit to developing a CAADC development plan through MCBAP, with the support and guidance of Easterseals MORC.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Screen for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Implement integrated, strengths-based assessment interviews to assess the presence, onset, symptoms, and patterns of substance use, behavioral, and psychiatric disorders.
- Assess for acute needs and risk and provide or arrange for appropriate stage-wise intervention. In the presence of two disorders, evaluate the interaction between the disorders, as well as the relationship of each to significant life events.
- Demonstrate knowledge of diagnostic criteria for psychiatric and substance use disorders.
- Conduct initial assessments to determine the appropriate level of care based on contract criteria.
- Analyze clinical histories for diagnostic purposes and develop preliminary individualized treatment plans.
- Complete initial authorizations for individuals, including recommendations for appropriate community-based services.
- Obtain information, when appropriate, from a variety of sources to develop a comprehensive clinical history.
- Record treatment plans, progress, and other significant information in agency case records.
- Develop preliminary treatment plans for substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders that are individualized, person-centered, and reflective of appropriate treatment matching.
- Identify specific goals, objectives, and stage- or phase-specific treatment interventions for each assessed need. When treatment needs are deferred, document the reason for doing so.
- Prioritize community resources and natural supports as strategies to assist individuals in meeting their identified needs.

Pay: $64,592.25 - $70,627.95 per year
