Training Captain Details :
CareFree Boat Club is looking for a licensed Training Captain to join the West Coast team. The primary responsibility of a Training Captain is to teach new members how to safely and confidently operate vessels. Training topics include, but are not limited to: navigation, rules of the road, weather, safety, emergency situations, docking, and anchoring. Training Captains are often the first face of Carefree that members see, and therefor play an extremely important role. The ideal candidate will exemplify our core values; Safety, Passion, Innovation, and Enjoyment while being able to quickly make decisions, and keep a positive and patient demeanor while working with multiple members.
Requirements:
- OUPV Captain License
- Prior experience operating vessels 18-24' in length
- Teaching experience (not required, but a plus!)
- Familiar with the local waterways
- Excellent communication
- May be required to travel to other locations (as far as Tampa)
The Training Captain position is part time with opportunity for growth. Flexible schedule available.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 per hour
