Cortina is seeking an experienced Interactive Producer for the design and development of interactive experiences for mobile apps, museum installations, and the web. This contract position is a rare opportunity to blend both artistic and technical aspects of interactive media development and work on exciting, thought-provoking, and challenging projects.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with the interactive media development process, including writing and scripting, user-interface and QA testing, and managing project teams, schedules, and budgets.
- Knowledge of an array of mobile app, gaming, and interactive products and programs.
- Familiarity with graphics software like Adobe Creative Suite and Autodesk products.
- Familiarity with programming platforms and languages like Unity 3D, Flash, WPF, and HTML 5.
- Ability to produce simple prototyping programs to aid in the proof of concept of ideas.
Requirements:
- College education: Bachelors and/or advanced degree in the study of interactive media with an emphasis on the role of a producer.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, both written and verbal.
- Portfolio of no less than six projects that demonstrate a variety of interactive projects.
- Understanding of the basic tools of artists, video editors, and programmers.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the interactive media creative development process.
- Become an in-house liaison to the client and subject matter expert for topics ranging from history to science to sports.
- Management of project scope, schedules, budgets, and client deliverables
- Brainstorm and write creative solutions for clients while drawing upon knowledge and experience of all types of interactive media and/or scenario-based experiences.
- Assist in all tasks associated with the creation and deployment of interactive programs, mobile apps, exhibits, websites, web modules, and e-learning tools.
- Ensure the standards of Universal access (Section 508).
