Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and management of materials within our distribution center. Duties
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo equipment, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse
- Assist with order picking using <PERSON> pickers and ensure accurate selection for shipment or inventory updates
- Manage warehouse distribution tasks by organizing materials efficiently and maintaining proper storage practices
- Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation
- Conduct routine equipment repairs or report maintenance needs promptly to ensure optimal operation of all heavy equipment
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels, update records, and facilitate order processing
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to OSHA guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse setting
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures
- Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to weights, measurements, and inventory counts
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or order picking is highly desirable
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards for heavy equipment operation and materials handling
- Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking periods
- Valid certification for forklift or lift truck operation is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided for qualified candidates with relevant experience

Pay: $18.21 - $23.30 per hour
