Our client, a Global Medical Device Manufacture, has an immediate opening for a Sr. Embedded Software Test Engineer (Medical Device) for a 6 Month + Contract. As a Sr. Embedded Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans and test strategies for embedded software, firmware, and hardware-integrated products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing comprehensive test plans and strategies for embedded software, firmware, and hardware-integrated products.
- Executing manual and automated tests to validate product performance and identify defects.
- Documenting test results accurately and thoroughly to ensure clear communication of findings.
- Troubleshooting defects through root-cause analysis to determine underlying issues.
- Using command-line tools, log files, and physical probing to analyze system behaviors.
- Defining and refining test protocols to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Validating product quality by applying electrical, mechanical, and system-level testing methods.
- Preparing detailed test reports summarizing execution results, defects, and corrective actions.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align testing activities and sharing results effectively.
- Continuously improving testing methods to enhance overall product quality and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in embedded systems testing within a medical device or regulated environment.
- 2+ years of experience analyzing requirements and creating detailed test cases, test plans, and test protocols for embedded systems.
- Proven ability to perform manual and automated testing of hardware and software/firmware, with strong documentation skills.
- Skilled in troubleshooting defects via root cause analysis, utilizing command-line tools, log files, and other testing methods.
- Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and system-level verification techniques.
- Experience with command line tools and scripting.
- Knowledge of C++ and C#.
Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
