Duties
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including overseeing food preparation, cooking, and service delivery to ensure smooth and efficient performance.
- Supervise staff training and development, including interviewing, onboarding, and ongoing coaching to build a motivated and skilled team.
- Oversee inventory control, food safety management, and food handling procedures to maintain quality standards and minimize waste.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation with accuracy.
- Manage shift schedules, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to restaurant policies to optimize productivity.
- Conduct food production oversight, ensuring timely delivery of quality dishes in casual dining or quick service environments.
- Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth while maintaining excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service management or assistant manager roles within fast food, quick service, casual dining, or fine dining establishments.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS), inventory control, food safety standards, and kitchen management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising teams, training staff, and managing hospitality operations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques, culinary processes, and food industry best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience with budgeting, profit & loss analysis, shift management, and food safety compliance is highly desirable.
