Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled journeyman electrician with strong experience in residential remodels, especially older homes. The job will require an individual that knows how to work safely and efficiently around knob and tube wiring, and plaster walls.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical work on residential remodel projects.
- Upgrade and replace knob and tube wiring systems.
- Work carefully with plaster walls and drywall for minimal damage.
- Troubleshoot and bring older systems up to code.
- Collaborate with contractors and homeowners.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts.
- Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose issues and verify system integrity.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed for project documentation.
Qualifications
- Experience in remodel work (older homes preferred).
- Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Ability to work cleanly.
- Reliable, detail oriented, organized, and professional.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment essential for electrical work.
Pay: $32.08 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
