MJE is a Non-Profit that aims to end neighborhood violence by empowering mothers and youth to challenge the normalization of violence. We provide trauma-informed services that support those impacted by community violence and recognize that our employees need just as much support as our clients.
You will support the Youth Peer Leadership Program and supervise youth during program hours.

What You Will Do
- Collaborate in developing and leading workshops and activities for youth in the Youth Peer Leadership Program.
- Provide support to youth enrolled in the Youth Peer Leadership Program, including accompanying them to off-site activities, events, and trainings.
- Support youth projects, enrichment, and recreation activities.
- Collect required surveys, assessments, and additional data.
- Keep track of youth attendance and punctuality.
- Prepare documents for Youth Peer Leadership Programs.
- Attend required meetings and staff development trainings.
- Assist in outreach with youth program activities and events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
- Knowledge: Adolescence and childhood development. Must have proficient knowledge in the following areas: legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures for program development and implementation.
- Skills: Ability to administer youth programs, team building skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, decision-making skills, effective verbal, presentation, listening communication skills, and effective written communication skills.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Sociology, or Psychology.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years working with youth in urban communities.
