Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in School Psychology (required)
- At least two years of experience as a school psychologist intern, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- State certification as a School Psychologist
- Proficient in psychoeducational assessment, counseling, report writing, and use of relevant technology
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and consultation skills with diverse groups (teachers, parents, administrators, students, outside professionals)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines; effective crisis intervention capabilities
- Physical capacity to operate standard office equipment and occasionally lift/move items weighing 5-10 pounds
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to determine special education eligibility
- Administer and interpret psychological and behavioral assessments
- Prepare detailed reports and communicate findings to parents and staff
- Provide individual and group counseling; support student mental health
- Collaborate in developing IEPs, and consult with Student Assessment Teams
- Participate in crisis management and provide intervention when needed
- Serve as a liaison with community, medical, and social service agencies
- Offer in-service training to staff and parents; keep informed of best practices in the field
- Maintain meticulous records and documentation, including Medicaid forms
- Adhere to all legal, policy, and ethical guidelines in educational and psychological practice
