Twin Cities Periodontics is seeking a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Periodontal Hygiene Coordinator to join our growing specialty practice. This role is responsible for supporting our hygiene department by coordinating patient care, managing schedules, and helping ensure an exceptional patient experience from start to finish.
This position is FULL TIME working Monday – Friday (with the option to have a half day off)
The responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited, to the following duties:
- Oversee the hygiene schedule, balancing patient needs with clinical efficiency.
- Schedule periodontal maintenance, recall appointments, and follow-up visits.
- Communicate with patients regarding treatment recommendations, appointment needs, and continuing care.
- Assist patients with questions regarding treatment options, insurance benefits, and financial arrangements.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure documentation is complete.
- Work closely with doctors' and hygienists' to support seamless patient care.
- Monitor patient recall and reactivation efforts to promote long-term periodontal health.
- Confirm appointments and verify protocol has been followed for each appointment.
- Assist patients when "checking in" and "checking out" of the office while adhering to proper protocols for both.
- Manage incoming calls, patient inquiries, and scheduling requests across multiple phone lines.
- Provide exceptional customer service while creating a welcoming and positive patient experience.
Qualifications:
- Previous dental, periodontal, or healthcare scheduling experience preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and periodontal treatment preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
