Position Summary: The Baker is responsible for the production of sweet dessert baked goods and savory casseroles and other dishes for PHR customers and catering orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Obtain complete knowledge of the menu
- Prepare baked goods such as cakes, pies, cookies, dessert bars, and casseroles and other dishes
- Prepare and grill sandwiches as needed
- Take customer orders and create future catering orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Demonstrate 100% commitment to guest satisfaction
- Properly train on all tasks before performing them
- Observe sanitation and health guidelines including strictly following proper hand-washing techniques
- Assist other departments within the restaurant when needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior baker experiences working in a restaurant or deli setting preferred
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Personal hygiene and food safety mindedness is of the utmost importance.
