We are currently seeking an Educational Assistant/Bus Monitor at our Rutherford Academy location in Murfreesboro. Each of our students receive services designed to meet their specific needs on every level of care in a small, child-centered environment. Individual Education Plans (IEPs) are carefully developed and reviewed regularly with our students and their families as we want every student to have a positive, supportive, and adaptive learning experience. As an Educational Assistant/Bus Monitor, you will be assigned to one student and will work closely with them throughout the day to assist them with their academics and daily goals. You will also work closely with classroom teachers and other assistants. In addition, you will monitor students on bus rides to and from school each day. Starting pay for the Educational Assistant/Bus Monitor position is $19.00 per hour. This is an academic year position with summers off.
- Must have experience working with children, preferably in a classroom setting.
- Special needs experience is a plus
- Must have a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of the children we serve and believe that all students deserve a high-quality education.
- Must be able to pass a fingerprint/background check and drug screen.
