Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks to transport freight efficiently and securely across designated routes. Your expertise in driving different truck configurations, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions across diverse routes and terrains
- Deliver goods to customers accurately and on schedule, ensuring proper handling of fragile or specialized cargo
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, routes, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance in accordance with federal and state laws
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route adjustments, delivery statuses, or unforeseen issues
- Assist with the setup and securement of loads on flatbeds or other specialized trailers to prevent shifting during transit
Requirements
- Valid CDL license class A
- Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery operations
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles with a strong focus on safety and control
- Experience handling various freight types such as freight shipments, or flatbed loads
- Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and transportation compliance
- Physical ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and manage heavy or bulky freight as needed
