Position: School-Based Assistive Technology Occupational Therapist
Schedule: 8-hour workdays (school calendar- 196 days in a school year)
Compensation: $75.00 per hour

Elsie Therapy is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to serve as an Assistive Technology (AT) Specialist within the Corona-Norco Unified School District. This unique school-based position focuses on evaluating, recommending, implementing, and supporting assistive technology solutions that increase student independence and access to their educational environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an OT who enjoys problem-solving, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and helping students succeed through creative, individualized technology solutions. Onsite training and mentorship will be provided to support your success in this specialized role.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive Assistive Technology (AT) evaluations for students with a variety of disabilities.
- Assess student needs related to computer access, writing, communication, environmental access, seating and positioning, and other educational tasks.
- Recommend appropriate low-tech and high-tech assistive technology solutions.
- Prepare clear, comprehensive evaluation reports and documentation in accordance with district and state requirements.
- Participate in IEP meetings as the Assistive Technology specialist.
- Collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, special education staff, administrators, and families.
- Provide training and support to school staff, students, and families on recommended assistive technology devices and strategies.
- Monitor student progress and adjust recommendations as appropriate.
- Stay current with assistive technology tools, accessibility features, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Current California Occupational Therapy license.
- Experience working in pediatric or school-based settings preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing a school-based caseload.
