Essential Duties:
- Accurately select and list items for sale using the best keywords and photos to attract potential buyers
- Securely package and ship purchased items in a timely manner.
- Promote Goodwill within the community to enhance its public image and to obtain support for the furtherance of our mission through the management of a retail store. Demonstrate commitment to the highest standards possible in relationships with internal and external associates.
Responsibilities:
- Perform an initial sort and grading of products sent by DGR stores.
- Select appropriate merchandise for eCommerce website(s).
- Take clear photographs of the item(s) to be listed, clearly showing details of interest including any damage.
- Accurately assign location codes to item(s).
- Use the listing software to create an appropriate and accurate listing for the item(s) that follows all website/software guidelines, including keywords potential buyers are likely to use when searching the site.
- After listing an item, accurately shelve it in accordance with the location code assigned.
- When listing items, listing no less than 60 items a day.
- Monitor listings, answering questions posed by users in a timely, accurate, and pleasant manner.
- Once an item is purchased and payment has been confirmed, locate it using its location code, prepare it properly for safe and accurate shipping, and place it in the designated location for FedEx pickup.
- When shipping items, shipping no less than 60 packages a day.
- When scanning books, scanning no less than 1,000 books per day.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Follow all Goodwill of South Central Ohio policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work with all types of people, especially those with disabilities (youth and adults). A self-starter who can work independently and as a team player. Able to organize and carry out multiple duties without assistance. Able to deal with stressful situations.
- Pleasant personality and neat appearance.
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, especially in writing.
- Demonstrated proficiency with computers and software programs. Ability to quickly learn eCommerce listing software.
- Able to keep up with a fast-paced environment with daily quotas on product listings.
- Will be subject to the company’s random drug testing procedures.
- Must pass a Goodwill-approved criminal background check and not appear on any government registries that track abusers or other such offenses.
Education and or Experience:
- Prior experience with online auction sites is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to reach above head, bend from waist, and lift up-to 75 pounds. Accommodation will be made if the person makes use of a wheelchair or other mobility device.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
