Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead VPK teacher, Preschool 3 Assistant, and School Age Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidates will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their development through engaging activities and educational experiences. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the early learning experiences of children, ensuring they are prepared for future academic success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment.
- Provide individualized attention to students, addressing their unique needs and learning styles.
- Incorporate teaching physical education into daily activities to promote health and wellness.
- Facilitate early intervention strategies for children requiring additional support.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and development.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall learning experience.
- Create a safe and welcoming daycare environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Utilize Montessori methods or similar approaches to foster independent learning among students.
- Document student progress through assessments and observations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with young children in an educational or daycare setting is essential.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support diverse learners.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain an organized and effective learning space.
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate various teaching methods, including Montessori principles.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A genuine love for working with children and a commitment to their growth and development.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
