We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our dynamic animal healthcare team. As the first point of contact, you will manage appointment scheduling, client communication, and administrative duties while supporting the veterinary team with essential tasks. Responsibilities
- Greet clients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage the clinic’s daily calendar efficiently.
- Handle proper billing and payment processing.
- Maintain thorough client records, update patient information, and assist with check-in/check-out procedures.
- Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding treatment plans, follow-up care, and clinic policies.
- Support veterinary staff by managing laboratory documentation, animal restraint during procedures, and assisting with pet care instructions.
- Assist with kennel operations, including animal husbandry, feeding, cleaning, and monitoring pet well-being.
- Facilitate smooth clinic operations by coordinating between clients, veterinary technicians, and veterinarians while maintaining a professional and energetic demeanor.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and restraint techniques for various species including dogs and horses.
- Experience in medical collection processes and laboratory procedures relevant to veterinary practice.
- Proficiency in animal handling skills.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques to support critical care procedures and maintain a sterile environment.
- Ability to handle diverse animals safely using proper restraint methods.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex veterinary information clearly to pet owners.
- Knowledge of pet care practices including pet grooming, pet grooming techniques, and general animal husbandry.
