Overview
Join our early childhood education team as a Preschool Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds will inspire curiosity, growth, and a love of learning. You will create a safe, engaging environment that promotes developmental milestones and fosters social-emotional skills in a 2-year-old classroom.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement dynamic, age-appropriate curriculum
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies.
- Engage children in meaningful activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth aligned with early childhood development standards.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss developmental milestones, and address any concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed by maintaining first aid and CPR certifications and health and safety training, as required by the Alabama Department of Health
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings with strong classroom experience.
- Knowledge of child development instruction principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management best practices.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
Other Requirements:
- State background checks as well as background checks conducted by the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama are conducted on all candidates
- All Candidates must have a bachelor's degree or higher in education or something comparable
- All candidates must supply references from previous employers
Pay: $20.00 per hour
