Golden Gate Mechanical is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our growing commercial and industrial service team. We have been serving the Bay Area for over 39 years and perform service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation work on a wide range of commercial HVAC equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems
- Perform preventive maintenance and service calls
- Troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, and control systems
- Start up and commission new equipment
- Communicate findings and recommendations to customers
- Complete service reports and documentation
- Maintain a professional appearance and customer-focused attitude
- Participate in on-call rotation as required
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2-5 years commercial HVAC experience preferred
- Strong refrigeration troubleshooting skills
- Experience with package units, split systems, heat pumps, boilers, VAV systems, exhaust fans, and economizers
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and mechanical plans
- EPA Universal Certification required
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on rooftops, ladders, and mechanical rooms
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Carrier, Trane, York, Daikin, Lennox, and AAON equipment
- Controls experience
- Start-up and commissioning experience
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
