Position Overview
Greener Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Road Mechanic to join our team. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment in the field. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-driven, and experienced with construction and landscape equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment and trucks
- Service and repair equipment including (but not limited to): CAT 308, 349 excavators, 980 loaders, crushers, and screeners
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues efficiently
- Perform welding and fabrication on heavy equipment and truck components as needed
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate repairs with management
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards
- Respond to breakdowns in the field in a timely and professional manner
- Keep company service truck organized, stocked, and properly maintained
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic (construction/site/landscape preferred)
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics
- Welding and fabrication experience required
- Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision
- Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Strong problem-solving skills and work ethic
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
