The ideal candidate will work in the Miami office alongside a team of landscape architectural designers to provide our clients with the award-winning services they have come to expect from our firm.
REQUIREMENTS
· 3 to 5 years of proven working experience under a Licensed Landscape Architect
· Strong design portfolio
· Bachelor’s degree or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program
· Highly motivated and eager to learn and share experiences with/from fellow peers
· Experience coordinating projects as a contributing member of a collaborative team
· Excellent drafting skills and proficiency with design software (AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Sketch Up)
· Strong visual awareness and an eye for detail, including demonstrated production of presentation quality graphics and renderings
· Knowledge of local codes and standards
· Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work simultaneously on several fast-paced projects and meet deadlines
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Positive and motivational attitude
· Strong organizational and planning skills
· Knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe suite, and
· Expert knowledge of Microsoft word and Excel
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with all aspects of project development including conceptual design, construction documents, construction details, and construction administration under the guidance of Associates and Sr.Project Designers
- Coordinate the development of drawings from concept through construction documentation.
- Ability to coordinate and communicate with project team and project managers.
- Ability to coordinate and communicate with consultants under the guidance of Associate.
- Ability to independently translate conceptual design into construction drawings and details
- Assist project coordination meetings
- Participate in special projects that contribute to the operation and innovation of the firm, such as assisting with marketing activities, design research, orientation and development of firm documents among others
- Demonstrate ability to mentor Interns and Designers to develop office skills
- Ability to work independently to develop tasks for project progression
- AutoCAD drafting support
- Photoshop drafting support
- Generate and test conceptual design ideas via both hand and computer graphics efficiently
- Attend project meetings and develop meeting minutes when requested by Associate.
- Produce presentations for clients and other agencies under the guidance of Associates and Sr. Project Designers
- Generate analysis, diagrams, renderings, sketches, and technical drawing sets
- Assist in conducting preliminary studies of the site (inventory and analysis, incl. existing vegetation, grades, soil, buildings, roads)
- Conduct visits of existing site and produce site analysis and site documentation
- Assist Sr.Project Designer and Associate in any task related to the assigned project
- Maintain organized file structure and project content
- Maintain organized record of drawings to support team
- Independently maintain folder structures
- Maintain track/log of received and sent files, RFI’s, and submittals
