Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the landscaping crew, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards
- Lead landscape maintenance tasks including lawn care, pruning, planting, mulching, and seasonal cleanups
- Oversee landscaping projects such as installation of new gardens, hardscapes, irrigation systems, and construction elements
- Ensure all work complies with safety guidelines and environmental regulations while maintaining a safe work environment for the team
- Provide training and mentorship to crew members on landscaping techniques, equipment use, and best practices in horticulture and tree care
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules and ensure tools are used properly and safely
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to coordinate project timelines and address any issues promptly
Skills
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, lawn care, construction, tree care, irrigation installation, gardening, and horticulture
- Demonstrated supervising experience with the ability to lead a team confidently and motivate others
- Strong knowledge of landscape design principles and plant health management
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to organize tasks efficiently and prioritize work effectively
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance equipment and tools along with proper safety procedures
- Ability to troubleshoot issues related to irrigation systems or plant health quickly and effectively
- Good communication skills for coordinating with clients, team members, and vendors
