We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. Duties
- The Network Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and end-to-end operational support of the enterprise network infrastructure.
- This role focuses on maximizing system availability and reliability through proactive monitoring, complex hardware and software maintenance, device configuration, and script development.
- Serving as a Level 3 technical expert, this position plays a critical role in advancing network security—including patch management, vulnerability assessments, and risk mitigation—while working closely with vendor partners and establishing standardized operational procedures.
- Deployment & Maintenance: Lead the installation, configuration, and upgrading of routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and patches.
- System Optimization: Monitor network performance, resource utilization, and trends to ensure high availability, reliability, and capacity planning.
- Network Security: Conduct security risk assessments, implement security tools/policies, and manage configuration and change controls.
- L3 Technical Support: Provide Level 3 troubleshooting to resolve complex infrastructure issues and develop automation scripts.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Act as the primary liaison with vendors and IT teams, create operational procedures, and support end-users.
MUST HAVE:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of experience in monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics and security management (vulnerability management, patch management, incident response) Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI and/or Cisco Nexus Data Center technologies
- Strong enterprise Network Engineering experience configuring and supporting Routers, Switches, Firewalls, VPNs, Load Balancers, and QoS.
- Experience with enterprise routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, HSRP, IPSEC, TCP/IP, OSI Model, and 802.11
- Experience providing Level 3 (L3) network support, advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production incident resolution.
- Experience with Network Security including Vulnerability Management, Patch Management, Incident Response, Security Policies, Risk Assessments, and Configuration/ Change Management.
- Hands-on experience with Network Monitoring, Diagnostics, Analytics Tools, Capacity Planning, System Availability, and Performance Monitoring.
- Experience supporting Cloud networking environments (AWS, Azure, Hybrid Cloud) and enterprise infrastructure, preferably in a critical infrastructure or utility environment.
Shift Timing: 8AM-5PM
Weekly schedule: M-F
