HVAC Service Technician Howl at the Moon Mechanicals Lake Placid, NY Pay: $30 – $45 per hour (based on experience)
Howl at the Moon Mechanicals is a rapidly growing mechanical services company based in Lake Placid, NY. We specialize in high-quality heating, plumbing, and mechanical system installations and service across the Adirondack region. As our company continues to grow, we are looking for a skilled and motivated HVAC Service Technician to join our team.
This position is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing residential and light commercial heating systems. The ideal candidate is experienced, dependable, and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial heating and HVAC systems
- Perform routine service, maintenance, and system inspections
- Troubleshoot boilers, furnaces, and hydronic heating systems
- Clearly communicate findings and repair options to customers
- Complete service documentation and job notes using company software
- Maintain clean and organized work practices on job sites
- Work closely with the office team to ensure efficient scheduling and service delivery
Qualifications
- Experience servicing and troubleshooting HVAC or heating systems
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- EPA certification preferred
- Experience with hydronic heating systems, boilers, and mechanical systems
Compensation & Benefits
- $30 – $45 per hour, based on experience

- Alternating 4-10's with rotating weekends. (Work Monday- Thursday, then Friday-Monday off, then work Tuesday - Friday, then 2 day weekend, repeat)
