Residential HVAC Service Technician

We're hiring an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This role is focused on service calls — repair, maintenance, and occasional install support — on conventional residential equipment. PAY & SCHEDULE

$25–$45/hour, based on experience

Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

On-call, rotating schedule
WHAT YOU'LL DO

Perform residential service calls, including diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance

Assist with residential installs as needed

Work exclusively on conventional residential HVAC equipment (see equipment list below)

Document all work, parts, and time using Housecall Pro

Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners on-site

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked service vehicle
EQUIPMENT YOU'LL WORK ON
Conventional residential systems only, including:

Split-system air conditioners (outdoor condenser + indoor coil)

Gas furnaces (single- and two-stage)

Electric furnaces and air handlers

Heat pumps (split-system)

Package units (gas/electric and heat pump, residential)

Traditional ducted forced-air systems and standard residential thermostats/controls
Not applicable to this role: ductless mini-splits, geothermal systems, and commercial/light-commercial equipment.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS (Must-Haves)

4+ years of hands-on residential HVAC service experience

Clean and valid driver's license

Current EPA Section 608 certification
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Primarily residential job sites — in and around occupied homes, throughout the greater Hartford, CT area

Field-based role using company vehicle and Housecall Pro for scheduling, dispatch, and invoicing
