We are looking for a caring and qualified individual with 1-3 years of experience in dental assisting. Your responsibilities will include taking diagnostic x-rays, assisting with surgeries, and supporting dental procedures. Familiarity with periodontal procedures and the ability to communicate fluently in Spanish would be a significant advantage.

Responsibilities
- Assist dentists with clinical procedures, including chairside support during restorative, endodontic, oral surgery, and prosthodontic treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies
- Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging technology, adhering to dental x-ray safety standards
- Manage patient records using Open Dental system, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Gather vital signs and medical history information from patients to support comprehensive care planning
- Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits
- Maintain clinical cleanliness by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols aligned with healthcare infection prevention and control expertise
- Support administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing patient management software, and assisting the dental receptionist as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry practices and pediatric dentistry preferred
- Proficiency in dental terminology, medical documentation, and medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Familiarity with dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, sterilization tools, and other dental instruments
- Experience with EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft; ability to navigate patient management software efficiently
- Strong understanding of infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control policies
- Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency during procedures
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry
- Excellent communication skills for patient management and team collaboration; ability to explain procedures clearly and empathetically
- Certification in dental assisting or related fields is highly desirable; CPR certification preferred
- Spanish speaking preferred!
