Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Foreclosure Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will assist with all aspects of foreclosure proceedings, ensuring compliance with legal procedures and supporting attorneys throughout the process. Your expertise will help streamline case management, facilitate communication with clients and courts, and maintain meticulous records. Duties
- Prepare and file foreclosure documents, including notices of default, summons, complaints, and affidavits, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage case files using legal case management systems such as PCLaw and iManage, maintaining organized records of all proceedings.
- Conduct legal research to support case strategies and ensure compliance with procedural law requirements.
- Coordinate with attorneys, clients, courts, and third-party vendors to facilitate smooth case progression and meet deadlines.
- Assist in drafting legal correspondence, pleadings, settlement agreements, and other documentation with precision.
- Perform document review for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to procedural standards; proofread all legal materials meticulously.
- Support administrative functions such as data entry, filing, phone etiquette, scheduling appointments, and managing client communications efficiently.
- Develops and maintains records regarding billable hours spent on specific cases.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience
- 2+ years of paralegal experience in real estate law or foreclosure proceedings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting correspondence and legal documents clearly and professionally.
- Proven ability to perform detailed legal research and document review accurately.
- Strong clerical skills including filing, transcription, proofreading, and administrative support are necessary for success in this role.
