Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision, including food production, food handling, and food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Execute cooking techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and other methods to deliver flavorful dishes consistently.
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on recipes and ingredient selection to enhance our offerings.
- Maintain high standards of food safety management and sanitation throughout all stages of food preparation and service.
- Support high-volume production during busy periods while ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations, including food service and catering events.
- Uphold excellent kitchen hygiene practices and follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable.
- Strong culinary background with experience in fine dining or restaurant settings.
- Skilled in food preparation techniques such as braising, poaching, grilling, and general cooking.
- Demonstrated knowledge of food safety procedures, sanitizing protocols, and proper food handling practices.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation for high-volume production environments.
- Experience with menu planning, food industry standards, and catering is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
