Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage their seating preferences to ensure a positive first impression
- Handle restaurant reservation management using various table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Maintain an organized waitlist and coordinate with servers to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, practicing excellent phone etiquette to assist with reservations and inquiries
- Support food safety standards by communicating effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a memorable dining experience
- Utilize POS systems to manage guest check-ins, reservations, and billing accurately while maintaining organizational efficiency
Qualifications
- Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred; a passion for hospitality is essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with guests and team members
- Experience with restaurant reservation management software such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, billing, and POS transactions accurately
- Knowledge of restaurant table management systems and POS systems to streamline operations
- Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow efficiently
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor and positive attitude
