About the Role
As an Environmental Compliance Specialist, you will drive the development and optimization of sustainability initiatives and regulatory programs within our manufacturing environment. You will serve as the primary technical lead for environmental stewardship, ensuring operational excellence while minimizing our ecological impact through rigorous data management and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities-
Oversee the execution of comprehensive environmental programs, including air quality, water management, and hazardous waste disposal.

Manage the permitting lifecycle and ensure timely regulatory reporting to maintain full compliance with state and federal standards.

Lead emergency spill response efforts and coordinate remediation activities to protect site integrity.

Design and facilitate environmental training programs to foster a culture of compliance across all levels of the organization.

Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for reducing the facility's environmental footprint.

Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies during site inspections and audits.

Supervise waste management activities and stormwater best management practices to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications-
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related technical discipline.

3–5 years of professional experience managing environmental programs in a manufacturing or heavy industrial setting.

Strong working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations and compliance frameworks.

Proven ability to manage complex environmental programs such as Title V air permits, NPDES, and hazardous waste reporting.

Demonstrated proficiency in data tracking, reporting software, and Microsoft Office applications.

Experience with Tier 2 and Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) reporting requirements.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and coach diverse teams.
