Responsible for the registration of patients with a focus on customer service, ordering exams, gathering information, scheduling appointments, up front collections and the ability to interpret and ensure compliance with payor guidelines for accurate input. Duties may also include calling on Insurance and getting authorazations for exams.

High School graduate or equivalent.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Ability to interpret and generate written correspondence utilizing proper grammar, spelling and composition skills. Ability to operate office equipment, such as copy machine and fax machine. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Good communication skills essential.

This position requires a willingness to work well with others and to demonstrate courtesy, tactfulness, professionalism, compassion and confidentiality. He/she should be alert to detect conditions dangerous to the patients or personnel. He/she should possess professionalism under stressful conditions. Requires large amounts of lifting, pulling, pushing, standing, squatting and stooping. Work is performed in a clean, well-lighted, heated/cooled and ventilated environment within the facilities of the Hospital District. Requires visual and hearing acuity for patient care and pertinent detail for job responsibilities. Radiation exposure and contracting or exposure to a contagious disease/infection is a possibility, but practicing and taking proper precautions will minimize this risk.

- Performs other tasks and assists in other areas as assigned and needed by the Supervisor, Coordinator, Director and Assistant Director of Diagnostic Imaging and Radiologist or Administrator within our Hospital District. Performs any other tasks to fill the need of the department, hospital and its patients.
