About the Area Supervisor Role
A 20-restaurant quick-service restaurant organization in the Waco, TX area is hiring an Area Supervisor to lead a group of 4-6 restaurants within the organization. This is a strategic leadership role for someone who thrives coaching General Managers, building leadership capability, and driving sustainable sales and profit growth.
As Area Supervisor, you'll serve as a strategic business partner to your General Managers, providing leadership, accountability, and support while ensuring every restaurant consistently exceeds company standards for Quality, Service, Cleanliness, and Value. What You'll Do
As Area Supervisor, you'll lead a group of 4-6 restaurants within the organization, with responsibilities including:
Leadership & People Development
- Lead, coach, and develop General Managers and restaurant leadership teams
- Build a strong leadership pipeline through recruiting, hiring, onboarding, succession planning, and talent development
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching that improves individual and restaurant performance
- Foster a culture built on accountability, recognition, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Operational Excellence
- Ensure every restaurant consistently delivers exceptional Quality, Service, Cleanliness, and Value (QSC&V)
- Work alongside General Managers to improve operational execution and guest satisfaction
- Conduct operational reviews across all day parts and implement action plans that drive measurable improvement
- Prepare restaurants for visits from Ownership, Directors, and McDonald's field consultants
Business Results
- Drive sales growth, profitability, and operational efficiency across assigned restaurants
- Analyze key performance indicators, identify opportunities, and execute improvement plans
- Manage food, labor, and controllable costs while maximizing profitability
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual financial goals
Restaurant Standards & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with McDonald's operational standards, food safety, security, and company policies
- Complete cash, security, and operational audits while maintaining Health Department excellence
- Lead implementation of new products, technology, and operational initiatives
Communication & Collaboration
- Partner with the Director of Operations and fellow Area Supervisors to execute company initiatives
- Communicate organizational goals clearly while building strong relationships across all levels of the business
- Support organization-wide projects, leadership meetings, and restaurant improvement initiatives
What You Bring
- Experience-based: 3-5 years of McDonald's management experience, including General Manager experience preferred
- Previous multi-unit leadership experience preferred
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze financial and operational performance
- Proven success developing leaders and building high-performing teams
- Excellent communication, coaching, and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation with the ability to travel between restaurants
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
