Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join Marylous team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting beverages, engaging with patrons, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in our establishment. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Engage with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Process transactions accurately using a cash register or point-of-sale system.
- Monitor inventory levels of beverages and supplies, restocking as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food orders when applicable.
- Assist in training new staff members on bartending techniques and customer service standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or bartending is preferred.
- Familiarity with cash register operations and basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Knowledge of brewing techniques and beverage preparation methods is a plus.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices to ensure a safe dining experience for customers.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele.
- Sales experience is beneficial for promoting specials and upselling menu items.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a busy environment.
