Clean Edge Construction is a growing design-build residential remodeling and custom construction company serving the western suburbs of Chicago. We specialize in major home additions, whole-house remodels, kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and select custom home projects.We are seeking an experienced Residential Construction Superintendent who can lead projects in the field, manage subcontractors, maintain client relationships, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at a high level of craftsmanship.This is a leadership position for someone who enjoys ownership, accountability, problem-solving, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Position Overview
The Superintendent is responsible for managing residential construction projects from pre-construction handoff through final punch list and project completion.This role requires strong field experience, scheduling ability, communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate homeowners, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and internal team members.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple residential remodeling and construction projects simultaneously
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and material deliveries
- Maintain project schedules and update Buildertrend daily
- Conduct jobsite quality-control inspections
- Review plans, specifications, selections, and scopes of work
- Communicate proactively with homeowners throughout construction
- Ensure projects meet company quality standards
- Resolve field issues and unforeseen conditions efficiently
- Document progress with photos, notes, and daily logs
- Manage project budgets, change orders, and schedule impacts
- Coordinate punch list completion and project closeout
- Maintain safe, organized, professional jobsites
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years residential construction experience
- Strong knowledge of remodeling, additions, and residential construction methods
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Experience managing subcontractors and schedules
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Working knowledge of framing, roofing, siding, windows, cabinetry, trim, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Experience with construction management software
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred
- Buildertrend experience
- Design-build construction experience
- Project management experience in remodeling projects over $100,000
- Carpentry or trade background
- OSHA certification

Pay: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
