Primary Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences aligned with the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes children's cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development.
- Observe, assess, and document children's progress using approved assessment tools.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and community partners.
- Individualize instruction to meet the unique needs of each child.
- Ensure compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards, state licensing regulations, and agency policies.
- Maintain accurate classroom records, lesson plans, attendance, and child documentation.
- Participate in home visits, parent-teacher conferences, family engagement activities, and program events.
- Work collaboratively with Teacher Assistants, Center Directors, Family Advocates, and other support staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging learning environment.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (or qualifications meeting Head Start requirements).
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to successfully pass required criminal background checks and other pre-employment requirements.

Primary Responsibilities
- Assist the Teacher in implementing daily classroom activities and lesson plans.
- Foster a warm, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
- Support children's learning through play, exploration, and positive interactions.
- Supervise children to ensure their health, safety, and well-being.
- Assist with meals, rest time, toileting, and daily routines.
- Help maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and learning materials.
- Observe and report children's progress and developmental milestones.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Participate in classroom planning, staff meetings, training, and family engagement activities.
- Ensure compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards and agency policies.
Qualifications
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or willingness to obtain one within the required timeframe.
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children preferred.
- Passion for early childhood education and family engagement.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to pass required background checks and pre-employment screenings.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.73 - $18.27 per hour
