QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- TB Skin test every other year
- Demonstrated skills and performance in the area of food service
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the local Board may find appropriate and acceptable
REPORTS TO:
Lunchroom Manager or Child Nutrition Program Director
JOB GOAL:
To serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency,
cleanliness, and friendliness.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in the preparation of food portions and prepares cafeteria counter.
- Serves students and staff from the cafeteria counter until all students/staff have been served.
- Removes used dishes and assists in the cleaning of counters, tables, and furnishings in the dining and kitchen area.
- Maintains the trash and garbage collection area in a neat and sanitary fashion.
- Can be assigned any duties throughout the course of a day's work that relates to lunchroom duties; cooking, dishroom, stock, assisting with inventory, cleaning of floors, assisting with paper work, removal of trash.
- Attends all required staff training.
Adheres to any and all other Child Nutrition Program guidelines.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary and work year to be established by the Board.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the
Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
