North Idaho Garage Door Technician Job Description
We are looking for a motivative Garage Door Technician to join North Idaho Garage Door. As our technician, you will be responsible for the installation of residential and custom garage doors. Technicians will travel to various service calls throughout the day. Each day will be different, as our company provides service as well as installations. You will be interacting with customers daily throughout our service areas. Because our technicians are the face of our company, professionalism, honesty, and outstanding communication are just as important as mechanical ability.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be organized, efficient, and have practical problem-solving skills. You will interact with our customers daily, and having patience and respectful behavior is a must as you represent North Idaho Garage Door.
Garage Door Technician Duties & Responsibilities:
- Diagnose garage door and opener issues
- Perform residential garage door repairs
- Install new residential garage doors and openers
- Complete annual maintenance and safety inspections
- Educate customers on proper operation and maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle
- Communicate with the office regarding scheduling and job progress
- Take before and after photos when needed
- Complete digital work orders accurately
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively
- Collect payment for goods and services
Garage Door Technician Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to safely lift 75+ pounds repeatedly
- Comfortable climbing ladders and working overhead
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
