Performs all general carpentry alterations, maintenance and repairs to the structure, furniture, doors and windows within all facility buildings. Performs skilled work as a Locksmith.
Education and/or Experience Required:
- Education Required: High School Diploma, GED, or a higher level of education that would require the completion of high school, is required.
- Experience Required: Minimum 3 years’ experience in building systems maintenance, preferably in healthcare setting.
License and/or Certification Required:
- Driver’s license and clean driving record required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must successfully complete the required training program within the defined working test period.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
- Ability to read blueprints desired.
- Must be mechanically inclined. Must have knowledge of equipment.
- Ability to read, follow instructions, and use basic math skills required. In addition, incumbent must be flexible and adapt easily to changes in schedule, work assignments and environment, including working weekends, holidays, and on-call hours.
