JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: BUSPERSON
DEPARTMENT: FOOD & BEVERAGE
REPORTS TO: RESTAURANT MANAGER
PURPOSE AND PERFORMANCE GOALS
Provide quality, value-added professional service in the lounge department to exceed brand standards for
beverage service, guest helpfulness, and guest friendliness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Ensures guest satisfaction by providing clean and properly set up tables in a timely fashion.
- Removes used china, glassware, silverware, and cloth napkins from tables as soon as guests
depart.
- Transport dirty dishes to dishwasher area, and napkins to used linen receptacle.
- Thoroughly clean and reset tables for incoming guests.
- Sweep underneath and around tables as needed and vacuum dining room thoroughly at the
end of shift.
- Cleans bus trays, trash cans and trash can compartment thoroughly at the end of shift.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE – High school diploma or GED.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisors and fellow employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS –Not applicable
REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to analyze routine data to make appropriate judgments regarding restaurant processes.

Must be able to lift/push/pull 50 pounds. Requires ability to reach, grasp and feel. Frequently requires

HOURS
Due to the business demands of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the hotel provides guest
services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, including
weekends, night shifts, and/or overtime. Also, depending on business demands, hours may be reduced
at any time.
