Atlas Staffing is hiring a Press Operator for a growing advanced manufacturing company in Post Falls, Idaho.
This swing shift role offers a great 4x10 schedule, giving you three days off each week while building hands on experience in advanced thermoplastic composite manufacturing. The ideal candidate is safety focused, detail oriented, comfortable operating production equipment, and able to maintain quality while meeting production goals.
Role Purpose
The Press Operator manufactures thermoplastic composite parts using production equipment, supplied materials, and established work instructions. This position is responsible for operating machinery safely, inspecting completed parts, documenting production activity, maintaining a clean workspace, and supporting the overall efficiency of the production team.
Responsibilities

Load materials and products into assigned production machines.

Operate machinery according to established work instructions and safety requirements.
*
Unload completed products and visually inspect parts for quality variances.
*
Maintain established cycle times and production rates without sacrificing safety or quality.
*
Accurately clock in and out of the ERP system and assigned work orders.
*
Properly issue and document materials used during production.
*
Clean equipment and work areas throughout the shift.
*
Refill production supplies and tools as needed and at the end of each shift.
*
Follow foreign object debris prevention practices within the assigned work area.
*
Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on production equipment.
*
Identify waste involving materials, supplies, production time, or processes.
*
Communicate production issues and improvement recommendations to supervisors and team members.
*
Participate in process improvement efforts focused on quality, safety, and efficiency.
*
Support overtime requirements based on production needs.
*
Train in other production departments and assist with training newly hired employees as needed.
Qualifications
*
High school diploma or equivalent.
*
At least one year of relevant CNC machining, pressing, or manufacturing production experience preferred.
*
Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
*
Basic computer skills for production data entry and documentation.
*
Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and safety procedures.
*
Strong teamwork, communication, and problem solving skills.
*
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and quality.
*
Ability to adjust to changing production priorities in a fast paced environment.
*
Must qualify as a United States Person under applicable ITAR or EAR requirements.
Physical Requirements
*
Ability to stand for extended periods.
*
Ability to regularly lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
*
Manual dexterity required to handle materials and operate machinery.
*
Ability to safely maneuver materials and production supplies.
*
Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
*
Ability to visually identify product quality variances.
*
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves.
Pay
*
$21.50 to $25.50 per hour.
Available Shifts
*
Monday through Thursday.
*
2:00pm to 12:30am.
*
Full time, in person position.
*
Overtime may be required based on production needs.
